Elevate your aesthetic with a custom rhinoplasty.

Our focus is on creating an evolution in your life experience, both in terms of how you feel about yourself and the joy with which you experience all that life brings you. At the end of the day, we want to bring out the best in every patient that entrusts us to create a balanced, attractive nose shape. We work closely with our patients to talk about the changes they envision. The ideal nose shape and size will dramatically enhance your features, bringing out the best of your eyes, mouth, and face shape, by creating an optimal balance.

What can a rhinoplasty do for my look?

Nose shape and size affect your facial appearance. At SVIA, our talented rhinoplasty surgeons can address any of these aesthetic issues by performing a custom nose reshaping surgery for the following aesthetic concerns:

  • Hump on nose bridge
  • Flat nose bridge
  • Concave nose bridge
  • Overly large nose
  • Bulbous nose tip
  • Hanging nose tip
  • Crooked nose
  • Asymmetrical nose
  • Broken nose
  • Long or overly wide nostrils

What is the ideal nose?

The perfect nose is a shape and size that doesn’t draw attention but has a beautiful form. When performed by plastic surgeons at SVIA, you can expect changes that appear natural, rather than obvious – as your surgery will be customized specifically for your facial structure, and to enhance your most attractive facial features. What is the ideal nose? A nose with a beautiful balance between forehead, eyes, cheeks, mouth, and chin.

What is the procedure like?

At SVIA, every nose reshaping surgery is performed with a custom surgical plan – the ideal harmony amongst your features can only be achieved by a plastic surgeon with advanced skills and an artistic eye for balance. As this is a precision surgery, the details vary from person to person. The goal is an altered nose shape or size, or both, to create an appealing balance between your features. The surgery may be performed in two ways:

Open Rhinoplasty: This approach is appropriate in many cases. It involves placing an incision at the base of the columella, the thin strip of tissue dividing your nostrils. This approach allows our plastic surgeon to revise nose shape, whether reducing or adding volume with custom grafting. The incision eventually fades and is virtually invisible once healed, as it is hidden by the nose structure.

Closed Rhinoplasty: For less comprehensive nose reshaping, a closed approach may be appropriate.

The incisions are placed within the nose structure and do not leave a scar on the surface. This approach, however, is strictly reserved for minor changes in nose shape.

What is the recovery time after rhinoplasty?

When planning to undergo nose reshaping surgery, plan for about six weeks of recovery time. You may heal faster or take slightly longer – every patient is different. The general overview of the healing process, week by week, is as follows:

First week:

Swelling and bruising around your eyes is common at this stage. As this is the initial healing phase, resting and taking it easy is all you need to do. No lifting heavy objects during this time. Sleep on your back with your head elevated – it can help you avoid excessive swelling. Eat healthy foods and avoid any alcohol. Take the time to rest – your body with thank you!

Second week:

By week two, the bruising will have typically faded away, and you likely will feel well enough to return to work, as long as your activities are not physically strenuous.

Third week:

You can return to some types of exercise. At SVIA, we carefully track the progress of our patients, and will advise you when it is safe to return to your usual workout routine.

Six weeks:

Your nose is essentially healed, and for most patients, tough workouts can be resumed with the approval of your plastic surgeon. Your nose will look great, and you can be confident at work, school, and socially – it is time to enjoy the changes!

One year:

Any residual swelling (which only you will notice) will have faded away. It may be difficult to remember your former nose shape by this time, and you will enjoy the difference this aesthetic change has made in your life in all the years ahead.
