Facial Rejuvenation with BOTOX

Our goal at SVIA is to bring out the best in every patient who visits our luxury Sacramento aesthetic center. BOTOX in Sacramento smooths lines and creases by treating carefully selected facial muscles to keep them from constantly contracting. As the product activates on the targeted muscle strands, the skin becomes smoother, and lines and creases fade. Many of our younger patients choose BOTOX injections to maintain youthful skin long into their 30s and 40s.

What Does BOTOX Treat?

You are a unique individual, and at SVIA, we take all the time needed to curate your facial rejuvenation treatment. BOTOX may be the only treatment or one of several we administer based on your personal aesthetic goals. BOTOX can be injected to smooth “dynamic wrinkles” caused by muscle contractions. The injections can be administered to treat the following:

  • Horizontal forehead creases
  • Frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Crow’s feet
  • For a custom “lip lift” to gently raise the upper lip to enhance your pout

First Time with BOTOX? What to Expect.

Many of our patients are very familiar with BOTOX injections, but if this is your first time, you want to know what to expect. Those who regularly get injections may not need a numbing cream, as the procedure feels like a “pinch” and is not overly uncomfortable. If you are sensitive to injections, a numbing cream can be administered before your injections. Once completed, you are free to go back to your typical day. You must avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the area treated for 24 hours. Avoid excessive heat outdoors or in a sauna or hot tub for 48 hours.

A Younger Look Can Be Yours in Just a Few Minutes.

It’s true; BOTOX in Sacramento takes only a few minutes to complete. While the precision of the injections makes all the difference in the outcome, you won’t see the smoothing effect for a few days. On about day three, you will see the lines and creases disappearing – our patients find this very rewarding! Watch the years melt away and restore a well-rested, rejuvenated look with the help of the team of aesthetic professionals at SVIA.

How Long do Botox Treatments Last?

Botox treatments generally last 3-4 months, but this can vary from person to person. For some, Botox may last in the 4-6 month range; for others, it may be only about two months. Patients who have Botox for the first time will notice that their results don’t last as long. After the second treatment, the results begin to last longer.

What is Recovery Like?

Recovery after your treatment is relatively minimal. You may have some redness in the treatment area for a couple of hours or a day after your injections, but you can return to your usual activities as soon as the treatment is over.  Don't rub or massage the treated areas for a few days, as this could cause the Botox to move to other face areas. Stay out of extreme heat or extensive sun exposure for a day. Otherwise, there is not much of a recovery period at all.

9 Tips for Botox Recovery

  1. Avoid touching the treated areas to prevent the spread of the toxin.
  2. Stay upright for a few hours after the injections to help the Botox settle in the intended areas.
  3. Refrain from strenuous activities for at least 24 hours to ensure optimal results.
  4. Apply cold packs or a cold compress to the treated areas to reduce swelling and minimize bruising.
  5. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications to minimize the risk of bruising and swelling.
  6. Stay adequately hydrated by drinking water and limiting caffeine and alcohol consumption.
  7. Carefully follow the post-treatment instructions provided by your healthcare provider.
  8. Be patient and allow a few days for the full effects of Botox to become apparent.
  9. Schedule a follow-up appointment with your provider to assess the results and address any concerns or adjustments needed.

Remember to consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice based on your circumstances.

How Much Does Botox Cost?

Botox is priced by unit, and the cost varies based on which areas are being addressed and how many are being addressed. Each area of the face generally requires a certain number of units to achieve the desired smooth, youthful appearance. However, this can vary depending on the needs of the individual.

A single unit of Botox generally costs between $10 to $15. A typical facial treatment may include 30-40 units. The total price will usually range between $300 to $600.
