Premier Sacramento plastic surgeons forAsian eyelid surgery: SVIA

SVIA was founded by board-certified, aesthetic fellowship-trained plastic surgeons, Dr. Jerome Liu, and Dr. Tom Liu. Achieve your cosmetic goals and enjoy renewed confidence with a customized Asian eyelid surgery. Reveal more of your eyes, transforming them to have a beautiful almond-shape, or remove any excess fat or skin affecting the upper lid. These surgeries are performed with precision to achieve a look that is both natural and elegant.

What to expect?

Asian eyelid surgery, when performed at SVIA, is 100 percent customized for the individual – each person is unique and can expect concierge-style service. Our approach is to evaluate your eye structure, speak with you about the changes you envision, and craft a custom surgical plan that will achieve the look you prefer for your eyes.

The journey to confidence starts at SVIA.

The surgery is performed with local anesthesia and intravenous sedation for your total comfort. You can expect it to take about one hour to complete. Whether you need to deepen an existing crease, create a double crease, or create a more attractive eye shape, we have the most advanced surgical techniques at our fingertips, including an advanced “no-incision” technique when appropriate.

Types of Asian eyelid surgery: A custom approach at SVIA

We deliver the full array of custom surgeries in Asian eyelid surgery, including:

Double eyelid surgery: Double eyelid surgery, or Asian blepharoplasty, creates an eyelid crease that reduces eyelid size to reveal more of the eye, in the ideal almond shape.

Eyelid ptosis surgery: “Ptosis” is the medical term for sagging. When the eyelid skin stretches with time, more and more of the eye is hidden. This surgery lifts the lid, with the benefit of restoring limited vision.

Epicanthoplasty: The “epicanthal” fold is a fold that appears in the inner corner of the eyes in some patients.

What is the recovery time?

The recovery from Asian eyelid surgery is reasonably comfortable. Initially, you can expect some bruising and swelling, which fades over the days following your procedure. You will need to avoid sun exposure and protect your eyes from impact during healing. Avoid exercise, sports, or any vigorous physical activities until the incisions are healed, which is generally in two to three weeks. We will be closely monitoring your recovery.
